I'll have to admit that sounds logical

Again, in case there is some lingering doubt among those who don't know my dad -- direct quote. This one was actually said to Snake. I'm pretty sure it was after I was in college and had to do with taking out the garbage or some such petty chore. Perhaps Snake can fill in the details for us.

Ahhh....that one had been buried pretty deep. You're right, it was taking out the trash. I gave some mild resistance to having to take out the trash cans to the road every Wednesday. Admittedly, I was probably being a little shit, but King was having none of it. The tone, which we know so well, said it clearly: you are worth less than the corn husk in my smallest mahone. He wanted me to know that my contribution to the family unit was so small as to be almost immeasurable. That's cool; I'll remember that when I slip Diego a five spot to leave Pops with a dirty diaper for 3 days in the nursing home.

Umm, just kidding.

I knew you were kidding because everyone knows that nursing home attendants are almost universally African American.
