Not the most classic of my Dad's utterances, but revealing nonetheless. I can't recall the specific instances when I've heard this, but they've all been since reaching adulthood.
That's a stunning admission coming from dad. I personally have never heard him say that.
Never heard him admit that either, although he does readily and proudly admit to being "the generic man".Dad is a pretty quality guy; he's moderately intelligent, hilarious, fairly kind hearted, good looking, and a hard worker. He has 2 (fatal) flaws, however: a complete and utter lack of patience, and a complete and utter lack of any semblance of an ability to empathize with others. I'm sure they're tied together, and I'm sure not entirely his fault.
Yeah, I remember being a little shocked the first time he said that. I think he's said it twice to me. Both in the context of a "I'm a sorry sum'bitch" story.
