Not the most classic of my Dad's utterances, but revealing nonetheless. I can't recall the specific instances when I've heard this, but they've all been since reaching adulthood.
Never heard him admit that either, although he does readily and proudly admit to being "the generic man".
Dad is a pretty quality guy; he's moderately intelligent, hilarious, fairly kind hearted, good looking, and a hard worker. He has 2 (fatal) flaws, however: a complete and utter lack of patience, and a complete and utter lack of any semblance of an ability to empathize with others. I'm sure they're tied together, and I'm sure not entirely his fault.
Yeah, I remember being a little shocked the first time he said that. I think he's said it twice to me. Both in the context of a "I'm a sorry sum'bitch" story.

That's a stunning admission coming from dad. I personally have never heard him say that.
